omg they so look like mines.. but my idiot female hamster ATE her pups :'((( I dont have damned idea WHY! I did EVERYTHING right, large cage/nest, awesomely healthy food, NEVER touched the babies, even took them to village to breath fresh air since I live in town and i did it JUST FOR THEM..... BUT! That goddam hamster :'( destroyed everything! she ate 3 pups first then vet told me to take out the other two i did but one died (i dunno y) and the last one too, i did everything to help it but..:(

no,you really shouldn't touch the newborns...there are SOME hamsters that let you do that,which means that they have trust to you...I have a hamster mum now,I haven't touch the babies(they are at the 12th day of their life)and everything looks right...the mum seems to respecting me for not touching her babies...you can touch them after they open their eyes...

Duckiieex3, baby hamsters NEEDS touchting! It's true that it's dangerous to pups to touch them when they're too small but when hamsters are 5-10 days old, u can check their gender. It's important to touch young hamsters. Without any contact between hamster and human, the hamster is goin to be very shy.

you can touch them once you can remove them from the mother, and they only need to be 4 weeks old to do that. I have 7 week old baby hamsters and they're already tame, cuz I've been holding them.

actually once they're big enough to have fur and eyes, the mother's less likely to eat them, because they're too big. Also, now they can bite back. My hamster quit eating hers after they got fur.

No if you look at them it will stress the mother and if you touch them she will kill them because your scent will be on them
