MICAH DAIGLE April 1-3, 2009 Boston University and Northeastern University Students for Sensible Drug Policy chapters co-hosted the Northeast Regional Conference. Day 2 at Boston University featured keynote speaker Drug Policy Alliance (DPA) founder Ethan Nadlemann. Next, former Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) executive director Kris Krane outlines the history of the movement, particularly the beginnings of SSDP and student activism in drug policy reform. Then current executive directory Micah Daigle runs an interactive workshop on campus change campaigns, followed by breakout panels with Eddie Einbinder of How to Have Fun and Not Die, John Dvorak of Cannabis Curriculum, Jimi Devine formerly of Mass Cann and Matt Simon of the Rhode Island Patient Advocacy Coalition (RIPAC), and Aaron Houston, lobbyist and spokesperson for the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP), who outlines particular gains and challenges in marijuana policy reform.
