Thames handover to LWT 1984 (20.04.84)

Here is Thames handing over to LWT in Easter 1984, Good Friday that year, which, to be precise in that year fell on Friday 20th April. It starts with the end of a film (don't know which one - sorry), then it's a trailer for programmes on ITV on Easter Monday evening, followed by a trailer for programmes to be seen on TV-am on Easter Monday morning, after which, Philip Elsmore, in-vision, bades another weekly farewell and hands over to LWT, who starts off the Easter weekend in their usual energetic style.

As Robin Carmody has pointed out, The Young Doctors (!) followed the LWT Friday handover ident.

@RobinCarmody Until the autumn of that year, The Young Doctors was screened on Thursdays and Fridays at 5.15pm. It was then moved to the slot which most other regions used for their regional airings of it (Central, TTTV, HTV, Anglia, Grampian) - Mondays and Tuesdays at 3.30pm. LWT even screened one ep of TYD at 6.30pm on a Friday night during Xmas/New Year at the end of 1983!!!

Classic. I'm glad I remember seeing the last five years of Thames. Loved it. Was two in 1987 and it's weird how I remember those days quite well. Telly was ruined from 31st December 1992

@Feisty1967 From 1968-81 it was 7pm, from 1982-89(?) it was 5.15pm, and from 89 onwards it became 5.10pm.
