For the first time in Barack Obama's presidency, fewer than half of California's voters approve of his overall job performance, and only 49 percent say they will vote for him in 2012. Ben Tracy reports on the president's not-so-sure thing.
Wait a Bloom in' Minute! Obama was here for a few hrs in LA, but his presence caused gridlock with people trying to get home after work. Block the streets? Don't unicorns fly? LA Times said Obama was greeted by friendly crowds, I saw nothing but irate comments
If ur bloom is malfunctioning press 1, if ur bloom is discolored press 2, if the bloom has fallen off ur rose blame Bush & go on vacation.
Stay out of this city, It's like a metaphor for Ur whole Presidency, Gridlock.
The wealthiest 1 percent of the population earn 19 percent of the income but pay 37 percent of the income tax. The top 10 percent pay 68 percent of the tab. Meanwhile, the bottom 50 percent now earn 13 percent of the income but pay just 3 percent of the taxes. There are just not enough wealthy people to take care of the 50 percent of Americans that are not contributing anything.....
Wouldn't American values dictate that we all contribute something?
@slayerkendra AND ALL THE TOP RICH AND CORPORATION HAS SENT YOUR JOBS OVERSEAS, CUTTING DOWN YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY, AND EDUCATION FROM YOUR CHILDREN AND YOUR GRAND CHILDREN!
Obama cannot push his ideas forward because Republicans vote his good ideas down. Their only plan is to defeat Obama, but they have the stupidest plate of presidential contenders ever. Perry would make us slaves to the corporations by squashing Social Security and lowering minimum wage, and like the others he is as religiously deluded as Bush, who got us into to all this trouble in the first place. How would things be different with a Republican president? Worse for you, better for them!
kids become what they see in the environment or tv,music video games or fucked up parents who had fucked up parents it's a cycle of madness /insanity by design you cant make money for ever selling a cure you cant make money off prisons if no crime happens governments keep us hooked like drug deals no one ever says im going to create FREE ENERGY FOR ALL MY PEOPLES BLACK OR BROWN OR WIGHT cuz its all about money ant a dam thing funny :(
@bboucharde i was raised in the mission district for the most part, what i see happing is gangs, drugs, and a system that is broken in a few ways but we cant blame the system for everything because we also play are parts in the world. growing up in the hood i see drug dealers target are youth and make them life long surfs, a dealer just wants money he wont care if you took it from grandma. the truth is to many broken homes violence, drugs, corrupt cops ,a crapy system nobody cares :(
@mstrephoenix1 Page 2: Last year, I went to a conference in SF (after being away two decades), and some of it is still very pretty and impressive, like Grace Cathedral, but I was shocked by the amount of garbage in the streets and really bad looking panhandlers. Then, for old time's sake, I rode the 38 Geary outbound to around 48th Ave, and that bus was like a toilet on wheels....folks had been defacating on the floor! What's up with that?? You would NEVER see that in Fargo, Des Moines, etc.
@mstrephoenix1 Thanks for sharing. Yes, I used to live in San Francisco (as a young engineer in the 70's). I would ride the 38 Geary bus inbound to my office in Financial District. In 1978, SF was livable, but then I moved out to San Jose (far south side), and it was OK--for awhile, but then the gang bangers metasticized into Santa Clara County. Next stop was Lodi, and it was OK into the 90's, but then it got tagged by bangers & the Cholos, so I cleared out of Cali for the vast Heartland.
I spent 35 years in California, earned two degrees there, & built a business. A decade ago, I had to escape---I couldn't stand it anymore: the rudeness, traffic, taxes, regulatory overkill, graffiti covering every available wall, crime, & the feeling that middle-aged Whites are no longer welcome. HOWEVER, there are still a lot of good-hearted folks in California, so I pray that they will cauterize the cancers of socialism, liberalism, multiculturalism, & corruption that are killing that state.

You want the rich to pay more taxes?
