Very fond memories... thanks for the trip own Memory Lane. I attended this school from 76 to 79. I left Thorne in 1992, and returned to visit friends and relatives in Thorne and the surrounding area a couple of weeks ago.. could not believe the Old Girl had gone. Would love to own one of the flats but that would mean totally uprooting again to move back. I smiled when I heard the accents - mine's softened quite a bit but it's still there. Born and bred in Thorne and PROUD of it. Thanks again x
wow were mr stanley and mr potts still their in 91 through to 95 they were my teachers in 72 through to 77 and both were great then,loved the school very fond memories,loved the jam rolly polly at dinner time too ,gave me a great start to life the school that is not just the jam rolly polly ,mr stanley had to put me on the right track a few times ,what he said paid off so i might just say it again thanks sir !
