Two strong passes between an A/FD nitro-injected dragster vs. a conventional blown methanol dragster in this pair. Video taken at Beech Bend 2008 LODRS.
@SuperJohncenarko nooo, not at that event,,,,sorry shudve stated more clearly. nhra yes, but we was at beech bend at the dragstrip but not at this one.
their both fuel injected cars the difference between the two is that one is running alcohol/supercharged and one is running nitro and not supercharged which is naturally aspirated they make between 2500 to 3500hp.
@TurbinePower69 Ok, so first: I know that only one car is running Nitro. That's what I said. And secondly, what do you mean injectors have nothing to do with it? The blown alcohol cars don't run injectors, and the N/A Injected fuelers don't run carbs. That's a pretty significant difference.
@300Z31 The RED in the far lane..is the ONLY One of the two, that is running on pop (nitro)..the one in the Near lane is a "true" TAD...the one in the far lane is allowed to run in TAD only because it's NA (Naturally Aspirated) and the power is about the same as the TAD. The fact that he's running injectors (mechanical) has Nothing to do with it...ALL the TAD's TAF's, A / F's, T / F & AA / FC's run mechanical injection. The NA / injected fueler here, can run either as an A / F or TAD.
@chargerfish1 Well the car in the far lane here is also running nitro. But the difference here is that he's running the TAD class. He can do that because he's running fuel injectors (instead of carb) and no blower. These, honestly, are my favorite type of car. Injected Nitro is just a lot of fun, and sounds awesome.
@natetheguitarkid not exactly. shudve specified that we werent at that exact event, we were at the beech bend dragstrip that night
