This is such a delicious afghan...reminds me of butter-cream puffs... yummy
Works up super quick... great when you need a gift FAST. Uses two strands of yarn and "N" crochet hook.
Make a baby afghan or a huge throw for your king size bed.

  • what size hooks did you use and does is have to be done with 2 skeins at a time to get the puff?

  • @smellyelly3 Size "N" crochet hook. You could try using a thicker yarn instead of two strands at the same time. It will not be as puffy, though.

  • Can you use two different colors for this??

  • @superterri5 Sure why not? :-)

  • what kind of yarn are you using?

  • @dahliaco28 I used "Pound of Love" I think it's by Lion Brand Yarns in Antique White. It's like a buttery creamy white. It's so soft!!!

  • @LollyMixtures I used the lace border also on mine and it is very beautiful.

  • Thank you so much for this video. I tried it and it turned out so beautiful. I used the Red Heart Shimmer yarn in white. It has a little sparkle to it. Its a very soft and easy to use yarn for this pattern. Have had so many wonderful comments on it. So, once again thank you so very much for this awesome pattern Tracey.

  • can you post the pattern???? I need both or I will NEVER figure it out haha

  • I love this blanket. Having some trouble though. It get's really tight in the first row and curls up. I thought I was using too much tension, so unraveled it and started over, keeping it very loose. Same problem. I think I'm placing the stitches wrong. In the first row, when you say you skip 2 ch and then start another sc, I can't tell if you are counting the stitch you're working in as #1, or the next one. If I am placing them too close, I can see how that would throw it off. Please help.

  • I love this video...can you tell me what type of border you have on this blanket? I've put about 6 rows of a single stitch around the blanket and it seems to be pulling slightly....any suggestions? Thanks!

  • I think the pattern traceyish used can be found by typing into a search engine 'Bubbles Baby Blanket', it's free, on Crochet Pattern Central by Deneen St Amour. I have made several of these, they're really quick, chunky & warm. They're lovely with just one strand of soft, thick aran wool - only two 100g balls! Considering making a large one for my bed! I have used the lacey border traceyish used on a couple of the blankets too - it's so pretty! Thanks!

  • I did this sample piece today and LOVE it!!! I have been hunting for a unusual pattern for my niece's baby blanket. I would love to make slippers, hat, and booties. I have a bad memory so it is hard for me to remember different stitches. I wrote this down and how easy. Thank you so much Tracey. Could you help me out on how to do the baby hat and booties?

  • Great job explaining. I'm gonna try this.
