This a working radio and operates on about 1830-1960 Khz with 3 watts of power. FAIRS members have made more than dozens of visits to the former Soviet Union Countries during the past 20 years. We are in the Appalachian Music community of Floyd Virginia - I am also making a small museum display of some of my computers available to the public in the Village Green. Hi teamfab -- I do have the antenna that came with it -- just a long wire - it is shown in video- as you mention it is not a real 160 antenna. I have actually made a few contacts with the radio on ssb however using one of my home antenna's -Dave

Another interesting video Dave. Shame the radio does'nt have its original antenna as i would like to have seen how large it was for 160!
