In Honor of Rev. Ignacio P. Bautista
Part 2 of this video on Pastors and Deaconesses Honorees of the Good Samaritan United Methodist Church, Quezon City, Philippines.
If I know my father, when we were yet together as a church family here in the Philippines, he never really expected nor hoped to get any of these awards / honors given him in recognition of his unselfish life-time devotion and services to and for the Lord's mission here on earth. He is 95 years old and although bedridden, he is still mentally alert and exhibits a lot of humor.
But, one of this morning's Good Samaritan Church's 50th Founding Anniversary cited, awarded, and honoured Servants of Christ was my father, Rev. Ignacio P. Bautista, now living in California in the care of Ate Miriam together with my brothers Kuya Jun, Edwin, sister Ate Necy and their respective families. Johnny, our youngest together with his wife Tess, my wife, Lorna and I accepted the award in behalf of our brothers and sisters in California and those in the Philippines, namely: Ate Loida, Ate Ruth and their families. This is video Part 2 of three or four parts, I think.
Thank you Stella, yes, he is a very loving and simple man and very Christlike. His life, alongside with my mother has been lived all for Christ and God's glory. He is now bedridden but at peace with his Maker. God bless.
