  • Hi, I have been there many time my friend Terry ( Nutkins) lives in Arnisdale, and the vid i have on here is my last time in the U.K stay at Terry's house.

  • Love sandaig I am 15 and go with my friend to Arnisdale every year sincce we were 7

  • I don't think it is necessarily a tribute to Gavin Maxwell... Ronan is a sailor, so his yacht takes priority that is all

  • Nice, i used to live on Skye, Gavin Maxwell always has a place in my life, I think it was him who's lifestyle pursuaded my dad to move there

  • Lovely, Christine. This is Cathel, we were in Glen Elg very recently...beautiful part of the country!

  • shame. If this was supposed to be a tribute to GM, Edal, Mijbil, Jimmy Watt, Johnnie, it would have been neat to have less of the yacht / crew and etc, and more of a concentration on the atmosphere of Sandaig - lost in the 'actors' and that hideous piece of violin. Like Robertcroma, I went there too and was so struck by those memories. Thank you, though.

  • I am a HUGE Maxwell fan. Thank you so much. Words can't describe...

  • This is so beautiful. I was a Maxwell fan as a boy.

I made the pilgrimage to Sandaig when I was 17, in the hot summer of 1976 with a friend. We walked along the coastline from Glenelg for miles in a dense mist. Incredibly, just as we entered Sandaig bay the mist lifted and an intense sunlight burst through. A fabulous, almost mystical experience. One of my finest memories ever. You brought it all back. Thank you.
