Well, 2007 was when the World's economy crashed; but, the only thing I could find on the bike path was that it was cancelled. However, now they're thinking about moving it to another city where there is more room for a path that large. If it is ever built, and if it is a success in Qatar, then maybe we could get some in the USA...

And the cycle route between Holland and Quatar already lies there, uncooled. Hopefully the state of the art bicycle path works.
