UPDATE: For some reason the AUX port of the car wasn't correctly grounded. Fixed it and now it works fine.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just installed my new Bluetooth Device in my car (BMW 318i E46). Guess what: It plays music just fine and is ok to use as a hands-free for the phone. But... well just listen to the interference in the vid. Ignore the Finger at around 1:10... i just kind of forgot it there :P

Who else uses this device? Did you encounter the same problems?

  • have u fixed the problem yet?

  • @chrissand1992 yes I did. for some reason the AUX port was not correctly grounded. which I found out after dismantling half the dashboard ;)

fixed it, now it works fine.

  • I've never had this problem. Have you tried other bluetooth devices? This is really the first belkin product that hasn't made me throw in the trash. Sorry your having issues.

  • @postbreak thanks for the reply. good to know there is a chance i just got a defective unit. I'll try with an iPhone and Samsung Omnia 7 later today. However I don't have high hopes, since the interference starts withough any device paired as soon as i plug the Belkin into the AUX port.

  • @krampfbein how do u check for that?? i actually used to connect a normal aux cable to my phone and everything worked fine. but when i sarted to use the belkin bluetooth i got this noise, and static is there when i play music, when mid-highs are playing, bass is clear. no whines like people that use the ground loop isolator. was this also the case with you, or do u think i have a defective unit?

  • You need to install a ground loop isolator/filter before your aux input to eliminate that noise

  • the "Kensington Noise Reducing Car Audio AUX Cable" may solve your problem. Worked for me
