Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, and Powell have used fear and the promise of security to pave the way for unlawful and unconstitutional policies. To an uncomfortable extent, we have ourselves to blame for allowing fear and panic to cloud our judgement and for supporting the words and actions of unreasonable men in the name of patriotism and self-preservation.

1. Communists really were trying to take over Germany, Europe, and the entire world - and had the means to do it.
Arabs are clearly not trying to take over the world and could not do so even if they wanted to..
