Sakamoto Ryuichi is the original from way back in 1983, Watergate (i think) is a 2000 remix ;)

It's a really doos song, alot of emotion in it, I thought the Trance Artist "WaterGate" had composed this song from scratch, obviously I was wrong :)

Hi Equation84, I'm guessing Ryuichi Sakomoto led the field with his solo compositions and group endeavours with the pretty interesing "Yellow Magic Orchestra". All of this way back in the late 70's and early 80's when Astroboy, Godzilla, et. al. were doing the rounds in Japan. Electronica was in its infancy then, with the only westerners of note being Brian Eno and Jean-Michel Jarre.
