after katrina i realized that this country is fucked.. for soo many people to deny the severity of a catastrophe such as katrina, then some of you were pleased with what happend. you people are animals and will get yours evantually ..I think we should succeed from the rest of you fucks. @declaytor By the way i a woman.And i'm from New Orleans lived there when Katrina hit .And your right about the Federal Govermment they have the assets to send in 50,000 troops an more to wherever we need them.But the Mayor and the Govenor also the the Natioal Guard to wait in Baton Rouge.They also told RTA an Amtrack that they did not need the busses or the trains to get people out of the city.The Mayor told people to go the dome an the convetion center.Listen to reporters no way i lived it.

I served ten years in the military, and I know for certain that the federal government has the assets and personnel to embed 50,000 troops into a foreign country in less than 48 hours. The people of this region was without food and basic sustenance for nearly 7 days. 7 days! This is a crime against humanity. You could smell dead bodies! Listen to the reporters.

Are you kidding me? He didn't downplay it at all. He said "what about all the buses, food, water, and resources that we saw earlier? How long are they going to take to get to those people?" how the he'll is he downplaying it?
