  • no silly girl, talking, you are lucky that you are not in Pakastan or Saudi you would have already been raped and or killed

  • @mawa89g "Pro Muhammad" Oh ok, you like reading revisionist history. You just lost all credibility. Martin Ling is hardly a "muslim apologist".

Wait let me get this right....you won't read a book that has blunt history (compiled from most authentic sources excluding commentary) but you will LOVE to read a nonsensical "Interpretation" of events in Muhammads life?

    Hardly the truth seeker.

Suhail story is recorded in the hadith nut. Of course it's surprising to you.

    Get an education.

  • @muslimgiga

Both books you mentioned are very pro-Muhammad and don't really question anything in a critical way. It's Ibn Warraq the other way round.

I don't see what's wrong about reading Bukhari or Muslim myself. I'm curious where you have the Suhail-story from. I guess from the sources where you can find Muhammad allowing rape, ordering murder, ordering torture, order to kill apostates etc. Muslim apologists answer to such stuff and defend it. I guess they also have no clue.

  • @mawa89g Really? Your very intelligent. NOT. Have you read "The sealed Necter" or "The Life of Muhammad according to the earliest sources by Martin Lings" Or "Muhammad by Haykal" or...I could keep on going.

Point is, your have no idea of what your talking about. It's just blind musing. Btw, the Hadith are sayings at well in a particular context.

So no, I don't consider you a single fraction credible.

  • @muslimgiga

I have quite some context regarding islamic history, I read a lot about it, also directly from sources like Bukhari.

To point out single good things and not mention all the bad things doesn't make someone a good person. You could let ANYONE look good that way. Other "freaking enemies" of Islam got tortured, murdered or executed.

  • @mawa89g I'm not comparing him with anyone. This is the man Muhammad who let a FREAKING ENEMY OF ISLAM Suhail (later converted) a prisoner of WAR to stay in his own HOUSE. Fed him and looked after him.

I'm just trying to show how little context you have regarding Islamic history that people like Spencer can just manipulate you at his will.

  • @muslimgiga

I don't take them as perfect role models for all mankind, as Muslims say Muhammad's Sunnah is. If you have to compare him with someone like Alexander to make him look better - that pretty much says it all. That Alexander killed captives doesn't make it better in the slightest if Muhammad did the same, or does it?

  • @mawa89g you need a history lesson retard....I wonder what Augustine or Alexander did with his captives?...oh wait, they were all killed on the spot.

  • @blueeagleTFL maybe she is not so oppressed as she is protected by UK law and has grown up in a place where women's rights and human rights have been hard fought for by other women for decades ;-)) Women's rights in many many countries are oppressed - the UK is one of the few true great places for women to grow up and live.

  • The Third speaker spoke the most sense by far. Religion is fine anywhere as a private matter. It is only an issue when it becomes part of state & politics. There are things in all religions that millions of others will not agree with. The beauty of an empiricist culture is that it leads to progression for all and allows critical thought. I would hate to see scientific, philosophical, sociological analysis thwarted by ANY religion. Any religion that seeks ALL people to join is dangerous.
