@shinznay sorry but Madonna did write most of her music more than half her songs say "composed by M.ciccone. Madonna never claimed to be original, many times she has made reference to her inspirations. without gaga's weird image she would be nothing, no one cared about Stefanie''s album red and blue she had no gimmick.. but when Madonna had her first hits, no body even knew what she looked like. her music can stand alone without an image gaga's obviously can't

@shinznay the only thing gaga had to do to get to the top, was change her name and her image, that's about it. her fist album red and blue sold nothing because she was justt being her true self.without the name and image change she'd still be a nothing.

They may have had HUGE success at a period of time but not been as successful back to back like she has.
