@ebrewste The secret behind the knee is that it is air balanced. An air cylinder is incorporated in the linear actuator for the knee to take most of the weight off the ball screw. The motor then just needs to overcome what weight is left and the mass of the knee during acceleration and deceleration.
What make is that knee mill, and how big is your spindle motor?
