don't give up and do not worry about talent.
if an artist suffers because he/she is serious about his/her art and is aiming high.
Obtaining your goals has its price, sometimes creating art is like giving birth to a child, painful but very rewarding. Mediocre artists do not suffer like that but they will be always .... mediocre.

one more thing, I haven't touched a pencil for almost 5 years, I stopped drawing because I felt like I didn't have any talent if I had to struggle so much but your comment about artists suffering because it is from the soul touched me deeply and I want to start drawing again, no matter how difficult it is. Thank you!

I'm a young design foundations student and this had me drooling till I read the comments. I think I was more drooling over the gorgeous pictures than than whatever it is these people are selling. I love portraits :-)

I liked what you said here: "You touch the sky when you paint." and it is true that many artists suffer. Although I don't consider myself an artist, I've drawn pictures of my family, friends since I was a kid and I suffer a lot when I do a portrait, it can be painful because many times I feel like giving up but I don't and the result is so sweet, almost heavenly. "No pain, no gain." <3
