  • You didnt need to rape him as well. I just spat out my drink.

  • @l1993iam As a kid I really resented it (not watching TV etc.) but I did it because my parents did. Now I do it because I believe it's the right way to celebrate Shabbat. It's really restful and fun. It's hard to explain, but it's the one day a week I'm not tied to anything. No work, no obsessively checking Facebook, no cooking. Just eating meals with family and friends, reading, chilling, napping (when I was little it was a day for legos and playing). Now I look forward to it each week. :)

  • A day to reallyt rest sounds great... but not turning on the light? It would be impossibe during winter here because it's so dark outside almost all the time.

  • Trans Atlantic Slave Ships run by jews, Newport Rhode Island. Keep Hiding behind Whites and blaming them !! evil man just evil. Hollywood and tv run by jews and banks etc, monopoly , thats messed up . also read Leviticus 25:44-46, Ego Trip if I say so.

  • @devikastewart There was one story I was told of a family with a baby running a very high fever on the Sabbath and no one in the house was allowed to give it a cool bath and apply cold compresses to the baby's head because that counted as work. They called in the mailman and asked him, as a gentile, to bathe the baby and help bring its temperature down.

(Sorry I ran out of space to post without replying to myself.)

  • What you read sounds a bit different from the way the Hasidic community in upstate NY observed the Sabbath. I worked nearby and learned a bit about the customs from the people in that community shopping where I worked.

  • After watching this for a few times it occurred to me that if the girl was playing sopio, she probably watches Alex's videos. Like this one, talking about her.

  • You are so allowed to play card games on Shabbat, you dont need someonne to hold the cards for you

  • @haylaebay And what religion might you be defending?

  • "well you didn't need to rape him as well"

    Just made my day:D

  • The holiday is Shabbat. You observe the Sabbath. "The Shabbat" is grammatically incorrect. It's just Shabbat. Or Shabis. If you want to say "the" it's The Sabbath.

  • Alex is an atheist- he doesn't believe in any religion or G-d so you can understand why it would be hard for him to grasp the strict laws of Judaism. He wasn't cracking jokes to disrespect Judaism. He was doing it because he was trying to understand why anyone would follow such a rigorous lifestyle. If we want other people to understand us, we have to understand where their coming from as well.
