You seriously think fighting isnt a science to a modern day mixed martial artists?? To be succesful in mma you need the right training, conditioning, nutrition, hell even the right mind set to name a few. They are perfecting martial arts. And dont use the ''oh its a sport therefor its limited'' excuse, MMA may be a sport but dont you think fighters could easily adapt to a real life situations?I doubt a fighter would care for the rules when faced with real life situations outside of the ring.

People keep saying he was the best yet they haven't even seen footage of his ACTUAL fights ( movies dont count my friend). Im not trying to be arrogant but have you even seen any of his fights? If so, i'd love to watch them, send them on over. With that being said, im sure he could whoop some ass and was a GREAT asset to the evolution of martial arts but people seem to give him god like status which is ridiculous.

Think what you will but he was over rated, his influence though, was not. Although he made MMA popular, he was not its creator. Pankration has been around for thousands of years. There were even actual mixed martial artists and events in the late 1800's in europe where the fighters would train and fight using Judo, Boxing, JiuJitsu, wrestling, etc. . If you were to put Bruce in a fight with any of today's top fighters, he would get slaughtered.

Bruce Lee is the inspiration for todays MMA fighters ... Bruce , if you know anything about him , was a complete fighter ... grappling , striking .. he had it all and he was not locked into any one style or system ... his fighting style was a reaction to the moment .
