At the Times Sq offices of the law firm Skadden Arps, political leaders converged to endorse and support Scott Murphy for Congress.
Leading off was Governor Paterson who told the crowd of 100 that Murphy has been a leader in job creation in the state.
Senator Schumer agan expressed his support and enthusiasm for Murphy noting that he had gained huge numbers in the polls over the last two weeks.
Congressman Charlie Rangel said that Murphy is the kind of representative that the New York congressional team needs. The DCCC chairman, Rep. Chris van Holland (D-MD) was present and expressed the entire democratic caucus' support of Murphy's candidacy.
Also present were Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and Rev. Calvin Butts from the Abyssinian Church among other dignataries.
