Holy Grail of Pistols.. that 1911 right there is delicious...
I would be scared out of my mind of rusting it just by touching it.
What did you do to that pistol after being done filming?
Silicone cloth, some type of gun oil, what?
TheHiddenPart 1 year ago
@TheHiddenPart Flannel cloth with Remmington Gun Oil.

@MrColt45acp Thanks for the answer.. I use a silicon cloth from Kleen Bore on all my blued guns. Would you recommend it for storage?

@TheHiddenPart believe it or not wd-40 was used on these for years, just use an oil suitable for firearm bluing.
imho, the most important thing is not to neglect the firearm, wipe down occasionally. wipe it down after it's handled, don't leave skin oils on your guns, the oils are corrosive. Don't let dirt or grease build up in corners and cracks. store long term low moisture heated atmosphere.
thanks for watching
