Walking part of the length of the Tayelet, there were gusts of high winds, the rain was beginning to drizzle, work crews were out to begin cleaning up the debris, sun chairs and beds were strewn all over the place, flooded streets, deep sand where the stone walkways were, boulders of sandstone heaved all over when they were swept up from the sea bottom by the waves which reached heights of up to 10 meters, restaurants with dansbags still in place, awnings and so on destroyed, poles which mark the waters edge toppled over, limbs of trees fallen, sea plants ripped out of their rooting from under water sitting on the walkways, photos and film are not as effective as walking through sludge and deep sands which passed the heights of tha wall barriers, feeling the sharp cold sting of the wind and the salt from the waves in the air.........in short one big gigantic mess.
