This is a live recoding from the "Guitar Legends" Concert in Seville, Spain in 1992. It's pretty cool seeing this song played by these three masters of rock guitar. Original studio recording can be found on the album 'Passion & Warfare.' This is a Steve Vai original tune.

These are the various musicians that supported the guitarists at this festival: In this video I only see Neil Murray (bass), Cozy Powell (drums), Nathan East (bass), Spike Edney (Keyboards)...but here is the list (from wikipedia...I don't know how truly accurate it is:

* Andy Fairweather-Low * Bill Dillon * Billy Nichols * Bo Dollis * Brandon Fields * Bryan Simpson * Charley Drayton * China Gordon * Chris Thompson * Chris Stainton * Chuck Leavell * Cleveland Watkiss * Cozy Powell * David Hull * Debby Hastings * Dennis Chambers * Deric Dyer * Dominique Di Piazza * Doreen Chanter * Everett Harp * Gary Mazaroppi * George Bohanon * Graham Broad * Ivan Neville * John Miles * John Leftwich * John David * Katie Kissoon * Kevin Dillon * Larry Kimpell * Louis Orapollo * Maggie Ryder * Manu Katche * Miami Horns * Mike Moran * Miriam Stockley * Monk Boudreaux * Nathan East * Neil Murray * Pat Leonard * Peter Wood * Pino Palladino * Ray Cooper * Ray Brown * Richard Cousins * Rick Wakeman * Sal Demandi * Simon Phillips * Snowy White * Steve Jordan * Steve Ferrone * Terry Williams * Tony Levin * Trilok Gurtu

  • Vai is difficult to bash if one has any intellect or ears at all. I used to play Vai for my clients when trying to sell them stereo speakers circa 1990. Actuall, that wasn't a good idea but I've always loved Satriani and Vai. All the Zappa alumnae are great, including some wonderful drummers such as Terry Bozzio and Chad Wackerman. can you list al the players here?

  • In response to your question, I put the info I've found in the info tab of the video. I hope this helps. Rock on! \m/

  • As far as the Steve Vai bashing comments (that no longer exists, neither does the pissing contest...neither of which will be tolerated on my videos). You people can argue weather Vai is a genius or not on other videos if you want. But the fact is that he played w/ Frank Zappa, & if you know anything about Zappa, you should know that he only played w/ the BEST.

  • can you please tell me where joe satriani is on this video?

  • 0:06-0:29 You see Joe (with hair! ponytail, and leather jacket) walk over and shake Steve's hand. He's definitely there and playing...but unfortunately, you just don't see a lot of him.

  • Vai described this performance as a "disaster."

  • Could you show me exactly where that came from, that would help me understand why he'd call it a "disaster."
