This is a crazy and pitiful documentary about a Western guy that goes to japan in early 1900's. He falls in love with a musician Japanese woman who rejects his advances. However, she is getting old (19!), and he brother wants her to marry.

So he corresponds with with the guy pretending to be the girl. The guy decides to go back to Japan to ask her to marry him.

She is shocked to even see him again and rejects him. He dramatically threatens to kill himself, and she relents.

They get married and live in New York happily ever after.

Look for some wonderful acting by the gaijin.
