  • drummer george suronovich is playing the rogers "timbale twin" drum set here.

he had strong drum and bugle corps chops, tuned high and tight for easy double strokes.

his best work was on "love is more than words" from "out here" with this lineup , he and bassist frank fayad created a fast tempo psychadelic boogaloo that went on for 20 minutes and had the heaviest recorded bass i ever heard.

the guitars are genius one this too.

  • Suranovich! That guy wailed through the Elektra and Blue Thumb years! Not a big fan of the Out Here extended sols, but... an awesome time keeper!

  • drummers working out on this one

  • Now THAT is some awesome drumming! Good gosh the guy never misses a beat. He's like a machine!

  • outside of the forever changes album this is my favourite love track, angelic vocals gut wrenching poetic lyrics devilish heavy rock angst. perfect.

  • when it comes to love even in the disgusting narrow minded often fascistic commentary world of youtube theres nothing to dislike about love.

  • I totally agree with what you say about drummer George; he is one of my favorite all time drummers! And this incarnation of Love was the very best, in my opinion. God, those were the days. I'm so glad I saw this incarnation live in Vancouver on Valentines Day in the early '70s. Arthur Lee was a genius in the true sense of the word!

  • The drummer carries the piece.

  • 1970 was a great year in hard rock: Led Zep 3; Black Sabbath's debut and Paranoid; Jimi's Band of Gypsies; Deep Purple's In Rock; Sir Lord Baltimore's Kingdom Come and up to par with any of these and surpassing most, Love's Four Sail!

  • Lead guitarist on this is terrible. He was equally crappy on the aptly-titled and abysmal "False Start" (assuming it was the same guy).

No wonder Lee was so uninspired during this period.

  • I love it. Thanks.
