On the 401

Listening to B.J. Thomas singing "Eyes of a New York Woman" (1967), while driving on Ontario Highway 401. I was driving this road while returning from the Motor City Comic Con in May 2006.

Being from New York, you're likely not familiar with Ontario's freeway network. You can be forgiven for not knowing what road you're on: the 402 ends at the 401 in London but the signage for the transition is horrible. Hope you didn't get lost :)

Yeah that's Hwy 401 at Exit 195 (look closely at the 0:03 mark) just east of London. Also the nonprismatic beams on that bridge are a throwback to the 1960's while the 402 was built in the 1980s: almost every overpass on the 402 uses prismatic prestressed concrete beams.

this actually looks like the 401. the 402 has 2 lanes all the way across. but yeah it does get boring sometimes. no traffic though.
