Max Msp Drum Percussion Patch

little patch that does a sort of linear drum playing (usually just one voice at a time)

I used an oxygen-8's knobs to change the drum occurrences ('oftenness', as 'frequency' sounds misleading) and the keys of the o8 were used to change presets maybe once or twice.

This patch prioritizes bangs in a really simple way so many counters of polyrhythms are filed down into a single stream of bangs. Only a few sounds ever actually play at the same time - the open-hi-hat and a few other sounds can play at the same time.

To make the production process easier (multiband mastering should be easier with this kind of mix-down) and to fool the ear. the drum beats derive from the series of say 9 counters shown at the top of the screen.

The general midi sounds are run through a compressor and a chorus-ish thing in "Audio Hi-Jack Pro." this was all 'live'

This is regarding how one weighs out data types that are all the same, of which cannot be added together and therefore must find a way to do so by other means. Some types of sounds aren't as important as others. I made this before noticing an article published elsewhere, for the nord I believe, on "Triggers and prioritizing." So... yes, driven minds arrive at the same bottlenecked solution pool.

i try not to apologize before stepping on someones toes. Wish I could bring something use full for you. Don't use Max. Was thinking of buying it but have no idea how to program it, thought there might be some nice patches out there. I suppose there are places

not sure if i get the what is going on. Is there a loop loaded in and its triggering parts of it or is it triggering seperate samples i.e. one for bass, one for hi-hat? If so, its exactly what im looking for, any chance of sharing the patch :)
