This video features students from the Village GED class and New Orleans Hip-Hop artist, K. Gates.
The Village is The Youth Empowerment Project's program for 16 and 17 year old out of school youth, providing both literacy training and GED preparation, as well as social services and mentoring supports.
We want to use this video as a way to reach out and encourage other young people who are out of school to come to YEP to pursue their GED.

That's what I'm talking about!!! Great HIP HOP feel keeping it real and on the positive! I'm so glad to see more goodness coming out of New Orleans! This is sooo appropriate. What a great way to engage your students, my two guys are so motivated for class thatI have to believe this project played a major role in thier attitude. Keep up the good work.
