(Kassandra's P.o.v)

(I sit on the couch and watch as he tries to tighten his tie. I laugh and go up to him.)
KASSANDRA: Let me do it.
(He smiles at me and I place his tie in place. He thanks me and pulls me into a hug)
KASSANDRA: A little too tight Joe.
JOE: Sorry Kassy.
KASSANDRA: How are your feet? Cold?
JOE: Um, nope. Toasty warm.
KASSANDRA: So this is it huh? You're finally settling down?
JOE: Yeah, no more single Joe.
KASSANDRA: I'm gonna miss him. I remember him saying he'd never get tied down or fall in love.
JOE: *shrugs* He grew up.
KASSANDRA: Are you sure about her?
JOE: I'm ready to get married.
KASSANDRA: I know that. But are you ready to get married, to her.
JOE: Of course. I love Ashley.
KASSANDRA: Do you know if she loves you? After all, she's an actress.
JOE: Come on Kassy. We've had this argument before. I love her and she loves me.
KASSANDRA: I guess...
JOE: Have you seen her?
KASSANDRA: Yeah, her dress looks like a pastry.
JOE: A pastry?
KASSANDRA: Like a cake and she's yelling at her bridesmaids. Can't'cha hear her?
(He stayed quiet for a while to hear. Surely, there was her annoying voice "Get me my bouquet!" Joe bit his lip and looked at me.)
JOE: Well, she's stressing. It is our wedding day.
KASSANDRA: I know. I wouldn't be here dealing with her and her snotty little family if it wasn't your wedding day.
JOE: Are they dressed in white too?
KASSANDRA: Nope, pastel! There's a difference or that's what they said.
JOE: *laughs* Let's get out there.
KASSANDRA: Alright.
(I was ready to walk out the door when Joe pulled me back.)
JOE: Kassy?
KASSANDRA: Yeah?
JOE: Thanks for being here all this time.
KASSANDRA: What are friends for?
JOE: You look beautiful by the way.
KASSANDRA: Thank you Joe.
(He smiled and we walked out the door. We walked down the aisle until I reached the front row of the church. I took a seat and Joe took his place in front of the priest, next to his groomsmen. I began to daydream. I saw the priest saying "speak now" and me standing up to object. Quickly, those thought were gone with the sound of the organ playing. This wedding march sounds more like a death march! I turned to see Ashley walking down the aisle like a pageant queen. I rolled my eyes and turned back around. I focused on Joe who looked about ready to throw up. She met with Joe and they held hands. The priest began to say the usual "we are here today to celebrate the joining of this couple in holy matrimony." I zone out and think "should I object?" I come back to, and hear the preacher say "speak now or forever hold your peace." The room is dead silent. I guess here's my last chance to convince Joe. I stand up, my hands shaking, seeing all those horrified eyes on me, but I keep my focus on Joe.)
KASSANDRA: I am not the kind of girl who should be rudely barging in on a white veil occasion but you are not the kind of boy who should be marrying the wrong girl. So don't say yes, run away now. I'll meet you when you're out of the church at the backdoor. Don't wait or say a single vow. You need to hear me out.
(Ashley's face was red all over and the crowd had their mouths wide open. Joe ,on the other hand, was smiling. Oh please say something I wanna hear!)
JOE: Lets run away now. I'll meet when I'm out of my tux at the backdoor. Baby, I didn't say my vows, so glad you were around when they said 'Speak now'
