I was curious about how Starfox Assault would sound in japanese, so I replaced the original audio with the japanese audio.

  • At 0:39 when the subtitle says "dang it" I think in Japanese Fox really said "damn it" could be possible but I don't know much Japanese.

  • Yes, it's true. Or to be exact, "kuso" is litteraly translated as "shit", but it is often used in the same way as "damn it".

  • If any of you are good at Japaniese you'll notice the slight swearing. Why the hell do they wipe it off the english version!?

  • Fox's japanese voice sounds really cute!

  • @thedarkflameknight Although this game is rated T (for some unknown reason), there are children who may still play it.

  • Both english and japanese dubbed is superb!

  • Really? I'd think the European version would have the option of either!

Personally, I like the English or Japanese VO cast. I just wish they would give them more time on the next game to really make the acting better in both. (They had so little time for the English crew to work!)

  • I'd like in the next episode of starfox the option of the japanese dub or the english dub *___* it would be wonderful... with italian subtitles (In italy it is in english with italian subs)

  • @Troublethecat:

He said "Peppy-ka?", which means "Is that you, Peppy?" Not Peppy-kun, cay?

  • When Fox said dang it, in japanese he said damn it.

  • If enough people were to send Nintedo a complaint about their voice acting ability, I'm sure something will change. key words: "enough people" I don't think large comanies would listen to just a few people, you know?

  • Hmmm... wait are you saying sending a complaint can or cannot get Nintendo to fix this? I'm just asking for choice of the option that's all.

  • Really? I found the little bit with tricky funnier in English than in Japanese. I like this game in English because Fox sounds older, and that seems like a further nod to when Peppy once said "You're becoming more like your father." I agree with the lack of emotion, but that isn't something a thousand complaints to Nintendo can't fix :P
