Anyone know, 75 thousand year ago, was human already exist?? or in what year exactly human civilization for the first time, I've been there in 1997s, I'm from Sumatra, it's my neighbor province...

sixreasons, yeah, there were humans 75 thousand years ago; but civilization is much younger. The Neolithic Revolution began about 12,000 yrs ago when humans first conceived the idea of staying put in one area and domesticating plants & animals (rather than spending an entire lifetime chasing them).

Personally, I think *civilization* proper began in the year 2000 when I got my first computer ;-)

@AppleSouffle i got an email from a Cro Magnon recently, inviting me to a corn husking party. He said his computer had a virus and sorry it took 12,000 years for it to arrive. No, he was just waiting for us to invent computers.

Sixreasons, yes, humans, as in Homo Sapiens, have been around for 250,000 years.

Side note: Our brains have actually gotten smaller since farming began. Many documentaries say stone age Cro Magnons were as smart as we are. They were ** smarter ** than we are. There's a 0.40 correlation between brain size and intelligence.

Though brain size has increased a bit since The Industrial Revolution.
