Jerry Garcia Band covers the Rolling Stones' "Let's Spend the Night Together," including one of my favorite late-era Garcia solos (starting at 2:28). In my opinion, this performance (November 16, 1991 at the Knickerbocker Arena in Albany, NY) is superior to earlier versions. For example, check out a '75 performance here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4pUdZsTWTc.
(Sorry for the cutoff at the end - couldn't fit the whole track. Also, a video from the show - with lower sound quality - is available here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWQg8JQp6vc&feature=related)
Shining Star is the fourth live album, and fifth album overall, by the Jerry Garcia Band. A double CD, it was recorded at various concerts from 1989 to 1993. It was released on March 21, 2001
