They start with a solid block of honey, and then slowly stretch it into 2, then 4, then 8 ... all the way to 16384 strings of honey! To prevent it from sticking, they dip it into starch or some kind of flour mixture every time they twist it. Once that step is done, they fill it with different kinds of nuts. I got a box of peanut! It's delicious! This video was taken in Myung-dong, Korea on the 20th of December!

  • It's not honey (understandable why you might think that), but a cooked sugar which gives it a golden color. And I think the flour is sesame flour - Goes GREAT with the peanut filling!

  • @RocketGeek indeed RocketGeek! Just looked it up! Thanks for the info! Where did you find your Dragon's Beard? Mine was in Seoul, Korea. (Myeongdong.)

  • @iankivell - Only heard of friends talking about how it's made, never saw it before (Wow, he's quick!). But I have had it (ONE piece) and wondered how the heck it was made. I'm going to try and make some real soon!

  • @RocketGeek ooh home made! That sounds like fun! Best of luck!
