wow, I don't know were to begin on this reply. First, the direction of your weld makes no difference. It's all in your gun anlge, amps, and speed. I have done left to right on more applications then I can remember, including structural parts of drag cars, and they are still holding perfectly. Second my welds held on cars that wrecked, and it's hard to argue with resluts. You can defend your belief if you can explain what happens when you go left to right that you think causes it to fail.
