For a motor I'm using an Advanced DC FB1-4001A Series Wound DC 9.1" double shaft. I have a page for this conversion on EV Album that may answer many of the questions you might have. YouTube won't let me post the web address so just go there and search for Ohio. Mine is the lower-right corner of the first page. If you look around on the EV Album site you will see a bunch of guys have done this same conversion. If you live nearby I would be happy to show it to you.
