I respectfully would like to suggest that your idea of how you learned your Spanish vocabulary is not really how you learned it.
How is that possible? You should know shouldn't you? Not necessarily.
School methods don't work. You just 'think' that they do. You certainly didn't learn your English vocabulary that way although some school teacher might have convinced you that you did.

I thought I'd take a minute to thank you and Marina for ur terrific podcasts & assistance in learning Spanish. U guys really have been of great help & ur somewhat an inspiration! Soy Australiano y vivo en Londres. Yo necesito aprender español porque mi novia bella es Venezolana. Unfortunately I can't purchase ur worknotes because the company I work 4 (like many) went into liquidation, a si que no tengo un trabajo.
