Another good one, left me with a couple questions. 1. Could you sometime show how to create the page curl? and 2. That latin (I think?) text, does it mean anything, and why do so many use it for text place holder?

That latin text is just a standard text placeholder for mock-up. Someone came up with it and folks use it. :) ...not sure what it means.
