LENNY the tramp is fast becoming a household name. From being a well-known face around Enfield, appearances on BBC London, attention from German broadcaster ARD and Channel Five have transformed Lenny's life.
As the campaign to rehouse Lenny using profits raised from a song featuring Lenny and about his life got underway, the Independent caught up with Lenny and producer CP BAZzZman.

  • Speak with him every time i see him. He knows lots about 70's punk music and we always have chats on that subject. I would much rather speak with him than a track suit wearing staffordshire terrier owning bonehead. Anyday.

  • my mum gave him 10 pound

  • @Egar008

Lenny is living in a flat in Enfield. Everything he has including his computer, tv, hoover, bed, bedding, clothing etc came directly from the proceeds made from his record release. Bazzzman did not make a penny from this. Bazzzman became great friends with Lenny and dedicated a lot of his personal time to helping him. The local council had completely written Lenny off and didn't even make the effort to understand his mental health. Without Bazzzman Lenny would still be on the streets.

  • hes not rich or an actor . hes a tramp..... my bird walked past him one day and he said "nice tits" .........filthy fucker

  • i heard his parents were rich

  • lenny is a leg i see him every day walkin to school and when i go town he is a safe guy

  • Love this guy. Once, I didn't have change for the Car park machine, so I asked Lenny for a couple of pound coins. He gave me them, and when I got back from shopping, I gave him a £10 note. He couldn't have been happier, and it made me feel good too. Now, I drive him around on my bus (191).

  • @tilerman I always used to speak to him too. Haven't seen him in years though.

  • i remember him in enfield town from when i was like 7 or 8 and he used to sit with his open-top ribena carton collecting money
