What I get from this song is that he's looking at whether war is an instrument of justice or God's will. I believe he is suggesting that we have created a false god, and that we suffer for it, and bring suffering to others. A prophetic voice.

Heya, can anyone explain what this song is about? I read that it was about keeping youre faith in god but i cant see that myself. it kinda seems like an anti-religious song. Amazing and powerful though.
