"The Martian Dop appears in front of the Colonel and some other scientists to do a little overacting. Not to be outdone, the Colonel does a little overacting of his own."

Bubbles Cash & Yvonne Craig were the two best reasons to watch this flick.

Wow Tommy Kirk acted in some awfully crappy movies after he left Disney Studios.
I wonder why he accepted such terrible acting jobs.

@krenzzzo Ironically, the beautiful Studebaker Avanti was based on the chassis and mechanicals of the lowly, plain-jane Lark -- an idea Ford borrowed a couple of years later when they based the original Mustang on their compact Falcon.

They are actual computer reels in the background - that was the way they used to load data onto those old massive mainframes!! Check out wikipedia "computer reel to reel tape"

Man, this is beautiful. As the son of the late Larry Buchanan I'm glad to see there are people who appreciate who he was and what he did (albeit on the lower end). His films, strangely, have survived the test of time.
By the way, my family has been approached about making tee-shirts of his more famous titles and also releasing his autobiography as a paperback. I'll throw it out into the ether and see what comes back.
