@babygrandmother you don't have to write the full arrangement to have "written" a song. a song is never "done", it merely evolves over time. he could have written the music and lyrics when he was 8 and it took until now to hear the version you heard here. which is totally different from the "Before Today" version

Can some please clarify something for me? He says he wrote this song when he was 8yrs old (google ariel pink free association). How can he be serious? It would be impossible to have the whole arrangement of a song like this composed in his head, without playing any instruments. The songwriting on this is brilliant, I struggle to write songs of this caliber and I'm not 8yrs old..
