2010 World Series of Poker
Main Event

The 2010 World Series of Poker is the 41st annual World Series of Poker (WSOP). It was held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and ran from May 28 to July 17. There were be 57 bracelet events, culminating in the $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Championship that began on July 5. The November Nine concept returned for the third year, with the Main Event finalists returning on November 6.

A notable change from 2009 was the revamping of the $50,000 buy-in tournament. From its inception in 2006 through 2009, it had been a H.O.R.S.E. event in which play rotated between Texas hold 'em, Omaha 8-or-better, Razz, stud, and stud 8-or-better, all played with a limit betting structure. In 2010, it became an "8-game" tournament, rotating between the five H.O.R.S.E. games followed by rounds of no-limit hold 'em, pot-limit Omaha (high only), and limit 2--7 triple draw. Once the final table was reached, play switched exclusively to no-limit hold 'em (as was the case in the 2006 H.O.R.S.E. event). The tournament, now known as The Poker Player's Championship,[1] has been moved to the second spot on the WSOP schedule, preceded only by the restricted Casino Employees No Limit Hold'em event. This means that the 2010 WSOP open events will start with The Poker Player's Championship and end with the No Limit Hold'em Championship/Main Event.

  • @13CARDScom ...Er, no...it's a terrible ruling....the clock stops at 0....zero.....Prah called between 1 & 0...it's 100% a call. Conventionally (rationally) the floor's count would be like '3....2.....1....0 hand is dead' not '3....2....1...hand is dead' clear difference, floor is idiotic and didn't have the common sense to rectify the mistake.

  • Prah did zero wrong here, cept to make a poor call when the guy was screaming.....ahem, barking sheer strength, so live read fail but in terms of 'angle' or otherwise, ridiculous assertion. True, he most definitely should be out of the tournament but is not responsible for the terrible call by the floor, nor is he obligated to voluntarily state that he called....if asked directly by the floor, obv different... Bizarrely, the full grown adult who barks actually comes across pretty well, who knew

  • I am guessing A4 of clubs for the wildcard hand.

  • Say thank you for the videos man, that is rude.

  • serves him right for barking like a dog also, they cant tell him his hand is dead, muck his hand, then tell him he lost the hand!

  • @Jonnyc1986 Actually if you you counted "0" and then "hand is dead", you would add time to the clock. But as you mentioned, Prah said "I call" before floor said "one", meaning there was more than one second left, and the dealer shouted "He call" before the floor said "hand is dead". So, as you said, the floor missed the call. However, at the point when the dealer recognized the call, she should have frozen the cards. Instead she mucked Prahs cards. She's more guilty than the floor, IMHO.

  • See who you are playing live online with webcam poker at Pokerview. Its sickkk.
