Is histrionic personality disorder a real mental health problem or is it a reflection of a patriarchal and misogynistic society?

  • Yea I have a friend that suffers from histrionic personality bad. It is a bit annoying if you don't understand these symptoms. Thank you for your video.

  • Never mind my last comment. You explained my toxic, annoying and parasitic behavior very well...

I guess people do have their reasons to dislike me.

Trying to adapt, though, I swear.

To understand context and to have healthier, more lasting, less dependent relationships.

I don't like to talk about my histrionic behavior so much, tough. I do enjoy talking about myself, but it seems as though thinking of myself in such context makes it self fulfilling.

    Anyway, thanks for the explanation.

  • Why do people dislike histrionics so much? I mean, I admit I'm not a peach and I could change details in my attitude, but hell, even anti socials get some sympathy from time to time from an uninformed person.

But not HPD; most explanations on it don't go much deeper than the DSM definition (you being an exception).

I know this basically looks like I'm simply attention seeking, but I honestly wonder about why if this disorder implies more emotional sincerity than others do people dislike it more?

  • is it possible for a histrionic @ middle age to be not interested in highly -sexualized conduct but have all the other traits? she is however obsessive about her health, illnesses, theatrics etc.. the rest u mentioned fits.
