And then choked in the playoffs. He was missing easy shots, shots that weren't even contested, shots he made during the regular season.

Memphis though matched up with us because they pounded the ball down low, they raped our small guards (Hill played SG/SF/PG) Hill and Neal with their size on offense defense and rebounding. They would've beaten Dallas as well, they would've came in with the exact same game plan they used to defeat us.

A less talented Spurs team destroyed practically the same Mavs last year, they know how to defend Dirk, Terry and Kidd who were major factors. This Mavs team wasn't THAT good, OKC and MIA gave up monster leads all series long because of their inexperience. LA was over hyped simply because they were LA, they played crappy during the regular season and continued to do so in the playoffs. POR was only good because Batum played like a beast towards the end of the season...

Pop waited too long to play Splitter, they were already down 2-1, those 3 games were very close as well. Each time Blair went in the game he was getting destroyed, Bonner was getting destroyed as well. Splitter would've made a much bigger impact on defense, rebounding, and offense.

It's Pop's fault for not playing Splitter, he chose Blair/Bonner over him and paid for it in the playoffs.

Scola is a whole other story, they couldn't afford to bring him over.

im a spurs fan too but i dont say stuff like they would have beaten the heat or okc bcuz it didnt happen the spurs lost in the first round

@XxHooksxX what are you talking about? splitter bonner and mcdyess got more minutes than blair did in the playoffs

blair was in popovichs dog house during the series

splitter did play pretty decent for the spurs during the series but thats not what makes spurs fans mad

its that they waited for long for splitter to get to the spurs and let scola slip away to houston

splitter was way overhyped and was expected to have a major impact for the spurs

He proved in the playoffs he'd make a big impact, if he had replaced Blair who was getting killed by Randolph the Spurs would've won the series in 5 games easily. Those games were really close mainly because of Blair getting beasted on. The Spurs match up with OKC very well and the Spurs know how to shut down Terry and Kidd and limit Dirk. MIA would've been overwhelmed by our size, they weren't that good. If the Spurs got passed Memphis they would've won the title for sure.

He can definitely score, not so much on 1 on 1, but he gets a lot of points off of rebounds, and like I said he specialty is the pick and roll. If you watched Blair in his rookie season you'd have seen him and Manu tearing it up on the pick and roll. Just on the P&R Splitter can score like 10 points a game. He would've easily been a top 10 rookie this year if he did get playing time.

parker gino duncan neal/anderson 5th option splitter

that means hes gonna have to get points off of boards

we will see what splitter can do this upcoming season

to say that the spurs would have won the championship is giving splitter way too much credit when

he still has to prove himself
