I was in L'Anse au Loup in Labrador. The people there seemed similar to those on the island of Newfoundland.

Newfoundland and Labrador are brothers in everything. They're like sibilings. Whats not to get, when she says "our own Labrador," It's with affection, not ownership.

Newfoundland and Labrador are ONE province. I don't think it's a matter of one owning the other - they're the same province, divided into two parts - the island (Newfoundland) and the mainland (Labrador)
