Just a quick video because people have been asking how to do a rose swirl on the top of a cupcake. It's pretty easy. You use the 2D tip and start in the middle. You pipe a little in the middle and then start going towards the outside counter-clockwise. You cut in close on the first circle and then go wider on the second swirl. And that's it! Hope this helped. Sorry about the music in the background, I kind of forgot it was even playing! :-P

  • WHAT THE HELL!! sorry to say but you can't pipe. it came out so lob sided i think you needed more practice before you made this video.

  • @110pwincess WHAT THE HELL! Sorry to say, but you can't spell or punctuate. Your words come out LOP-sided and confusing. I think you need more practice before you comment on this video. LOL

  • Beautiful... What tip size did you use?

  • @10fpatel thanks! :-) I used a Wilton 2D tip. It's a large tip that can be found at baking supply stores on found online.

  • What was your buttercream recipe?

  • @sarahtappie

8 oz by weight. unsweetened chocolate, chopped

    6 cups confectioners' sugar

    2 sticks unsalted butter, softened

4-6 Tbs. milk, plus more, if needed

    2 tsp. vanilla extract

melt chocolate cool to room temperature. Combine sugar and butter in a mixer or with a hand mixer at medium speed. Add vanilla extract and 4 tbsp milk. Then add the cooled chocolate and mix for several minutes until light and fluffy. If it's too runny, add more sugar. Too dry, add more milk. Beat for several mins
