Backflushing will keep your E61 brew group's head and screen pretty clean, but if you need to replace the gasket or want to do a very thorough cleaning, you'll need to take it apart. Gail shows us how to disassemble.

  • @pdxDavid Cool! Please let me know what you think of this machine -- we can't get access to them so don't know how they compare to other E61's on the market. - Kat

  • Thanks for the video. This stuff really helps a new guy out. I just picked up a used Expobar Office Pulser and it has a E-61 type brewhead, so this should be the same for me. Keep up the great work.

  • Nicely explained, helps a lot of people I recon! If the gasket is really stuck you can also put a blindfilter in the portafilterhandle and begin to do a backflush, with the preassure still on you try to loosen the portafilterhandle. This will make the group head pop right out!

  • @spyrmak You're welcome :D You can read all about panarello wands on our Brown Bean Blog - I just posted an explanation there. - Kat
