I and some friends worked there in the fiftys unloading ships. The first day on the job we unloaded cement bags. The company paid in cash the next day after you worked. We were in high school at the time, River Rouge High School. We only worked on the weekends. We made $1.20 an hour. Good money at the time.
I graduated from River Rouge High School back in 2003.

this was just the nicholson terminal warehouse .the boats were not made here,you could board the boats here at one time to go to the park.thats all

I know where this building is. I also wanted to go inside but a cursory look around did not reveal an obvious easy entrance. Was it hard to get into?
